Anton Small
Surreal Forms
Anton Small, born in 1982 in Frankfurt am Main, is a self-taught artist who specializes in gouache and oil paints on canvas. His work is characterized by a preference for surrealist and abstract representations, inspired by artists such as Kay Sage, Francis Bacon and Yves Tanguy.
Although largely self-educated, he honed his skills through courses in Frankfurt, at the Kunsthaus Oggersheim and at the Wilhelm-Hack-Museum in Ludwigshafen. His works combine the strange with elements of reality and have been presented in prestigious exhibitions worldwide, including in Germany, Switzerland, the USA and the UK.
With his surreal creations, Anton Small invites viewers to immerse themselves in a world that seems both familiar and alien at the same time.
